Parkview Regional Hospital Announces 2017 Mercy Award Winner
June 21, 2017
Mexia, TX – Parkview Regional Hospital recently announced that Denisha Morton has been recognized as the hospital’s 2017 Mercy Award winner. The Mercy Award recognizes one employee from each of LifePoint Health’s hospitals who profoundly touches the lives of others and best represents the spirit and values on which the company was founded.
The Mercy Award is an annual recognition program established in 2002 to honor the life of Scott Mercy, LifePoint’s founding chairman and chief executive officer. The award is considered the highest honor a LifePoint employee can receive.
“At Parkview Regional Hospital, we share LifePoint’s commitment to Making Communities Healthier, and we recognize this mission is supported by the good work and service of our employees on and off the job,” said Austin Wratchford, Chief Operating Officer of Parkview Regional Hospital. “We are extremely proud to recognize Denisha Morton for her efforts on behalf of our patients and our community. Denisha goes above and beyond each and every day to ensure that every person she encounters receives the highest level of care and compassion.”
Denisha serves as an Administrative Assistant at Parkview Regional Hospital. The care and compassion Denisha exemplifies when dealing with patients and the community are exactly why she was chosen as this year’s Mercy Award recipient. Throughout the nomination process, many stories of her kindness and attention to patients’ needs surfaced. Not only is her exceptional care evident with patients, it is also evident in her home with her family, in the community, and with all Parkview physicians and employees.
Each hospital winner, including Denisha Morton, will be considered for LifePoint’s 2017 company-wide Mercy Award. The company-wide winner will be announced this summer and honored during a ceremony in Nashville, TN., in August, to which Denisha Morton and all hospital winners are invited to attend.
