My Parkview Story - Brent Locke
BRENT LOCKE - A very active Rotary member in Mexia, Brent Locke began experiencing problems with his knee. He visited the orthopedic surgeon at Parkview and was told he would have to do some work before he could take part in elective surgery, explaining he needed to lose weight and take part in some physical therapy to prepare his body for surgery. The Parkview team was very caring and reassuring with Brent. As Brent said, “They took their time with me in a very caring manner.” Once Brent gained strength and lost weight, he was able to have surgery. Brent said, “The staff was wonderful, top-notch really” from the moment he walked in the front door. He said that even the food was wonderful and the patient experience was excellent. Brent entered the hospital on Monday and was released to go home Thursday. During his rehabilitation experience at Parkview Regional Hospital, he said the staff was very professional and it was the highlight of his day to see the rehab staff.
