Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering
Parkview Regional Hospital has a devoted group of adult volunteers who donate thousands of hours each year. Their cheerfulness and dedication add a personal touch, contributing to the comfort and happiness of our staff and our patients and their families. For that, we are deeply grateful.
As a volunteer at Parkview Regional, you will experience both personal and practical rewards. The only requirements are:
- A desire to serve others
- A listening ear
- A caring heart
Volunteers give their time for a variety of reasons. Some are retired healthcare workers and miss their calling. Others enjoy the opportunity to connect with people. All find value in supporting staff and, most importantly, patients, many of whom are facing health challenges that are new to them. Parkview Regional volunteers make a significant difference in the lives of others. Whatever your motivation may be, volunteering can add meaning to your life, too.
Depending on your availability and interests, a few examples of volunteer opportunities include:
- Assisting in the gift shop
- Greeting and providing information to patients and visitors at the information desk
- Providing directions and escorting patients and visitors to their destination
- Supporting patients and visitors in the waiting areas
The Volunteer Department staff works closely with each volunteer to find an assignment that matches his or her interests, skills, and motivation.
